About the Role
Burnie Brae currently has a vacancy for a Part Time Community Transport Driver to join our transport team (20 hours per week).
As a Community Transport Driver, you will be providing transport services to our clients within the North Brisbane Region. Our transport program offers door-through-door service that allows our clients to keep their independence at home while still being able to get out and about to enjoy the community. We offer day trips to various locations, group shopping trips as well as individual transport to appointments or outings. What makes us unique is our "home on request" service which allows our clients to call us when they are ready to return home which gives them extra freedom and flexibility.
Your role will include:
- Driving a mix of buses, vans and sedans
- Proving exceptional customer service
- Reviewing and planning daily transport schedules
- Deliver a door through door transport service
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure clients are picked up in a timely manner
We are looking for someone who is friendly and professional and works well in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. You must have the ability to work and problem-solve autonomously as well as work as a supportive team player. To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A current Light Rigid (minimum) Driver’s License and Drivers Authority
- Previous experience in a similar role especially experience driving vans and buses (highly regarded)
- A current National Police Check, First Aid and CPR certificate, or the ability to obtain these.
