Due to the rapid growth of the company, we need a Company Accountant, who will be proficient in the following aspects of the job responsibilities:
General Accounting
- General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments to suppliers and timely collections from clients.
- Payroll Management: Oversee payroll processes, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time, and handle related tax filings, be familiar with the single touch payroll.
Project Accounting
- Job Costing: Track and allocate costs to specific projects, ensuring accurate job costing and profitability analysis.
- Contract Management: Review and manage financial aspects of contracts, including billing schedules, payment terms, and change orders.
- Progress Billing: Prepare progress billings for ongoing projects, ensuring they reflect work completed to date.
Financial Analysis
- Variance Analysis: Conduct variance analysis to compare actual financial performance against budgeted expectations
- Profitability Analysis: Analyze the profitability of each construction projects, identifying factors that contribute to profit or loss.
- Financial Advice: Provide financial advice and support to management, helping to inform strategic decisions and improve financial performance.
Compliance and Reporting
- Preparing the draft: Prepare the draft of Business Activity Statements, Single Touch Payroll Report, Financial Reports etc
- Liaise with the external tax accountants: Reply to the document requests from the external tax accountants for the lodgement of the statutory reports
Communication and Collaboration
- Stakeholder Reporting: Communicate financial information to stakeholders, including project managers, executives, etc.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting.
Technology and Systems
- Software Management: Utilize accounting software and construction management systems to streamline financial processes and improve accuracy.
- Data Management: Ensure accurate data entry and management within financial systems, maintaining integrity and accessibility of financial information.
Requirements:
- At least bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting or Finance
- Mandarin Speaking preferred (Most colleagues are Chinese background)
- At least two years’ experience as a Company Accountant
- Industry experience preferred (Accounting experience in building and construction industry)
