About this amazing opportunity:
Lead by a Commercial Manager who values initiative, this role is focused on generating financial information and contributing to projects to help deliver growth. We are looking for a resilient and versatile accountant who is unafraid to initially be hands on to understand the business as well as use their acumen to offer strategic insights. The role will collaborate on finance projects to automate transaction processing and accounting tasks in a view to allowing the role and team to develop. Head Office based with flexibility to work from home, this is a chance to make a real impact within a dynamic company.
What it takes to be amazing in this role:
We are looking for a talented and motivated professional who is confident in all aspects of traditional management and financial accounting responsibilities including:
- Cashflow and trade finance management
- GL account reconciliations, incl. payment platforms and credit cards
- Month end journals and reporting and insights into financial performance
- Manage the monthly payroll function
- Initially, some transaction processing
- Guidance and support to the AP/AR
- Customer communication as needed
- Commerical projects
- Compliance with statutory requirements
- BAS – preparation and submission
- Liaise with tax consultants
Why you’re amazing!
You enjoy a culture of continuous improvement and honest communication and have:
- Proven experience in inventory and forex accounting and payroll
- Min. 5+ years’ experience as a Company Accountant or similar
- High proficiency in MS Dynamics Business Central (Navision) and MS Excel
- Software proficiency, with the ability to leverage technology to automate processes
- A collaborative mindset, willing to work with stakeholders to drive improvement
- an uncompromising attitude to accuracy & a proactive approach to problem-solving
- A strong knowledge of account receivable and payable
- Current working knowledge of tax and accounting legislation; and
- Are highly organized and able to prioritise workload and meet strict deadlines
MS Power Automate and MS Power BI knowledge as well as experience in businesses selling to national retailers and exporting highly advantageous. An Accounting Degree and CPA/CA accreditation is favourable but not essential.
