AddressOur client provides high quality services across both commercial and domestic landscapes. Nestled in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, our client is seeking an experienced and diligent Company Accountant to act as a 2IC to the Finance Manager during an exciting period of expansion.
Your main responsibilities will include but not being limited:
- Support Finance Manager and CEO, around budgets, forecasts, actual spending, reporting and financial accountability.
- Preparation of monthly financial and management reports, including but not limited to profit and loss, balance sheet, creditors, debtors, and job costing.
- Process month end journals of depreciation, prepayments, provisions, and perform balance sheet reconciliations for review.
- Assist the Finance Manager with preparation of annual accounts for audit and liaise with external accountant.
- Prepare and report on statutory compliance matters including PAYG, BAS, FBT, payroll tax, Super and other requirements.
- Performing ad hoc analysis pro-actively or as directed, to provide performance insights that aid growth and focus appropriate resource allocation.
- Support Finance manager and Project Managers to improve the accuracy of data and business efficiency.
- Develop strong and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effectiveness of communications and resolution of issues.
To be successful in your application, you will be CA/CPA Qualified with strong technical accounting experience in a hands-on reporting role. You will possess excellent attention to detail as your ability to identify issues and ensure effective solutions will be imperative to your success. You will have strong Excel skills and have sound working knowledge of Xero.
