Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Company Secretary to join their team in Sydney on a 12 Month Contract covering the APAC region.
About the Role
Responsibilities include:
- Establish deep and effective relationships with business partners and peers to understand their business drivers and strategic priorities
- Manage the provision of efficient, effective and timely company secretarial services to the Company
- Maintain and continually improve the information systems and processes appropriate for the board
- Provide advice on corporate governance matters relating to the Company
- Support the Group Company Secretary with the preparation of Board papers and other materials as required
- Proofread, prepare, file documentation and maintain various governance registers and databases
About You
You have:
- Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Commerce) or Graduate Diploma of Applied Corporate Governance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Associate or Fellow of Governance Institute of Australia
- 7 years previous work experience in the Company Secretariat department of an Australian corporate or post-admission experience advising on corporate governance and company secretarial matters
- Highly organised with excellent time management skills
- Effective decision making and delegation skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strict adherence to confidentiality at all times
- Ability to work autonomously and use initiative to drive success
