About the opportunity:
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Compliance & Advisory Lead to join the Finance team on a full-time permanent basis.
Reporting to the Accounting Advisory & Governance Manager, this position is responsible for:
- Supporting a wide range of corporate governance and compliance requirements including APRA reporting.
- Providing on-going support to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements
- Supporting the integration of newly acquired businesses including system integrations
- Providing technical accounting advice to the wider network
- Supporting implementation of Finance Transformation projects
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience working in a large Compliance/Finance/Accounting function within a complex organisation; Or relevant experience gained within a Big Four firm.
- Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal
- Highly developed analytical skills and stakeholder engagement
- Strong organizational skills to manage conflicting and changing priorities.
- Experience in compliance activities and SOX/APRA reporting requirements is highly desirable.
- Experience with acquisitions, divestitures and legal entity corporate simplification is advantageous.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area or similar qualification or equivalent knowledge and skills developed through professional experience.
- Completed professional accounting qualification (CA / CPA)
- Full unrestricted working rights within Australia
