The Role:
A hybrid role based at our Brisbane Depot in Acacia Ridge. Our new Compliance Monitoring/Security Officer will be cross trained to perform a number of functions within the Compliance Team and will perform full gatehouse duties.
This position has flexible start times covering day & night shifts, weekend work may be required.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining NHVAS Information.
- Review & maintain Subcontractor management.
- Full compliance management of WDP’s.
- Generation, analysis & issuing of multiple compliance reports.
- Data entry and maintenance of other compliance related information and documentation.
- Educating staff on compliance issues.
- Call drivers to assist with road safety, speed limit, and legal compliance, including receiving & actioning Guardian calls.
- Follow emergency procedures and liaise with emergency services.
- Manage vehicles coming in and out of site.
- Temperature monitoring of all refrigerated trailers & trucks.
- Attend to security breaches & medical emergencies as required.
- Camera patrols to monitor site safety.
- Communicate on a regular basis with drivers, operational staff and managers.
To succeed in this role, we anticipate you will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience within heavy industry/ logistics and compliance is advantageous.
- Current Security License with Unarmed & Monitoring modules highly desirable but not essential.
- High level reasoning, problem solving and excellent organisational skills.
- High accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise competing objectives.
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to influence others.
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft office.
