To meet our growing demands, we are looking for a Concept Engineering Manager to join our team.
The RoleReporting to the General Manager Development and Reservoir Management, the purpose of the role is to Lead the integration, optimisation, and scope definition of Concept Engineering opportunities up to and including handover to the Project Delivery organisation, operating within a defined opportunity frame and Arrow maturation processes.
This is a Brisbane based position and will require occasional travel to our field operations as required, with plenty of notice.
In addition, you will:
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to consistently role model Arrow’s values, code of conduct, safety, and the environment.
- Establish positive and productive working relationships with key stakeholders.

- Own continued focus on safe design, execution, and operation of existing and new developments through challenging concepts and design to be as safe as reasonably practical and visible presence at ongoing delivery activities and operations.
- Identify, assess, and manage the concept of engineering solutions in Arrow's acreage, managing basin-wide infrastructure business opportunities, seek cooperation, collaboration opportunities to develop resources commercially with other proponents and / or other 3rd parties (e.g. water / power solutions).
- Technical integration and overall management, planning, execution, delivery, and risk management of upstream Concept Engineering activities (pre project sanction); integrate inputs from own team, functional teams, project delivery organisation and external contractors resulting in execute AFE for final investment decision (FID) that has buy-in from internal (particularly project delivery) and external stakeholders.
- Lead the alignment of shareholders, stakeholders and JV partners to ensure identified Concept Engineering solutions can be realised and any significant risks mitigated, integration of Non-Technical Risk (NTR) management within the asset value proposition and alignment around external commitments.
You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to contribute to a high performing-team with a second-to-none focus on safety and integrity.
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:
- University degree in relevant discipline, or be able to operate at this level.
- Experience in the Petroleum industry with emphasis on development roles.
- As a leader of a large technical/operational team, the individual must have excellent interpersonal & leadership skills.
- Have demonstrable competence, proven track record and capabilities to lead complex opportunities, with dimensions of complexities coming from the full business spectrum, be it Technical, Economic, Commercial. Organisational, or Political (TECOP) and including Health, Safety, Security and Environment, Social Performance and Sustainable Development.
- Successfully managed very large or complex opportunities with significant risk exposure, in which the incumbent was responsible for the integration of most or all of the TECOP dimensions of risk.
- Working Experience in Joint Venture Entities
