About Us

The Student Journey Services portfolio embeds the Future Student Team, Outreach Team, Student Enquiry and Student Transition functions, to inspire, inform, recruit, convert, support and transition enabling, undergraduate and postgraduate students to study at Murdoch University. We seek understanding of the diversity of student journeys and place the student at the centre of our operations.

The Role

The Concierge at Student Central serves as the frontline facilitator to enhance the customer experience for students and visitors, supporting the roles of Future Student Enquiry Officer, Student Enquiry Assistant, and Coordinator Future Student Enquiry. As the Concierge you will manage the flow of inquiries and interactions, guiding visitors to the appropriate department, providing general information, and assisting with navigation through Student Central services, effectively bridging the gap between students' needs and service provision.

Your Key Duties:

  • Greet and assist students, staff, and visitors at Student Central, and direct enquiries to the appropriate services or staff members.
  • Offer general information about university services, events, and campus directions.
  • Manage wait times and service flow, coordinating with the Future Student Enquiry Team, Student Enquiry Assistants, and Coordinators to optimize service delivery.
  • Provide Tier 1 responses to students through email system and perform general administrative tasks as needed.


What you'll bring to this role

  • Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently, with a proactive and positive attitude.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing environments.
  • Familiarity with university services, campus layout, and academic calendar preferred.
  • Experience in a customer service or front-desk role is highly desirable.
