Concrete Plant Operator

Concrete Batcher Hymix are seeking a reliable, committed and safety-focused concrete Batcher / Yardhand to join our team working in South Brisbane. This is a permanent full-time opportunity with the inclusion of Monday to Friday shifts, weekend work and overtime.This role would also suit a trainee with no experience but the right attitude.Financials:The rate starts at $29.80 - $33.28 depending on experience. We also pay penalties - rate x 1.5 after 8 hours and double time after 10. In your new role with us, you will: Carry out stocktaking of raw materials and other stocks​Work with dispatch and drivers to achieve efficient starting, finishing, and meal & rest times for drivers​Maintain the yard​Operating a Front-End Loader to organise waste​Organising and liaising with allocations regarding raw material deliveries​Minor plant maintenance​Operating the plant​Balance our customers’ needs and allocation of fleet through effective planning and decision making to ensure maximum fleet productivity, utilisation and efficiency​Engage with customers and respond to enquiries​Manage and monitor orders to ensure delivery and products meet quality requirementsThis role is a great fit for you if you: Are a Motivated Individual that takes initiative – required for maintaining the yard and plant​Eagerness to learn about all details relating to Concrete Plant operation and plant maintenance Physically able to complete manual labour where required​Mechanical knowledge will be highly regarded​Works well with a small team​Are a team player who can multi-task and make quick effective decisions under pressure Are a natural problem solver and enjoy planning and troubleshooting What we offer:You will be rewarded with competitive hourly rates including penalty rates and allowances​Uniform and PPE​Be part of highly recognized global brand name and growing organisation​Ongoing career and development opportunitiesHymix Australia is an equal opportunity employer, and we employ people from all walks of life.
