Concrete Repair Technician

POSITION DESCRIPTION – CONCRETE REPAIR TECHNICIAN
Safety and Environmental Responsibilities

• Lead organisational Safety at the forefront in all that you do in accordance with the organisations

HSEQ Management System.

• Ensure an appropriate understanding of the relevant Project Management Plans (including but

not limited to: Site Management Plan, Environmental Management Plan before work
commences.

• Ensure an appropriate understanding of the project quality requirements and the Inspection and

Test Plan (ITP).

• Undertake Environmental and Safety duties for the project.
• Ensure Site Safety and Environmental Inductions are completed in accordance with Site

Management Plan, Company Policies and Client Site Procedures.

• Work in the guidelines of all Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) that are in place for all high-risk activities in accordance with the identified Hazard control measures of the Project Risk Assessment.

• Manage the health and wellbeing of self and consider the health and wellbeing of others, as well

as the condition of the environment where the work is being performed as per the requirements
outlined in the Site Management Plan.

• Monitor workplace conditions to identify hazards and risks to ensure safety to the NCS team and

or site personal.

• Identify and work in the guidelines of all Risk Management procedures on site by ensuring

conformance to the identified hazards and risks, SWMS, JSEA’s and other system documentation.

• Raise any areas of concern to the close out non-conformances.
• Ensure that appropriate emergency preparedness processes are in place and carry out respective

duties of the position.

• Ensure competence and accuracy to tasks.
• Ensure Project Safety and Environmental Objectives and Targets are achieved.

Quality Responsibilities

• Ensure all Projects Objectives and Targets are achieved
• Ensure an appropriate understanding of the project quality requirements and the Inspection

and Test Plan (ITP).

• Ensure awareness of the site requirements and that the Site Management Plan is adhered to.
• Participate in Site Meetings or Contractor meetings, if required
• Actively participate in HSEQ meetings as required
• Ensure Project non-conformances are effectively and efficiently closed out
• Ensure competency and accuracy to task
• Monitor working conditions at the workplace and project site to ensure safety of self and of

others
Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Minimum (12) months Construction Site experience
• Concrete Repair and Remediation experience
• A demonstrated ability in Time Management and Prioritising tasks
• High communication and organizational skills
• A demonstrated ability in working in the guidelines of Health, Safety, Environmental and

Quality Systems
Licenses and Tickets

• Drivers License (manual)
• White Card (Construction Induction Card)
• Confined Space Entry
• EWPA Operator-Yellow Card or WP High Risk Licence
• Working Safely at heights
• First Aid Certificate (Preferred)
