POSITION DESCRIPTION – CONCRETE REPAIR TECHNICIAN
Safety and Environmental Responsibilities
- Lead organisational Safety at the forefront in all that you do in accordance with the organisations
- Ensure an appropriate understanding of the relevant Project Management Plans (including but
commences.
- Ensure an appropriate understanding of the project quality requirements and the Inspection and
- Undertake Environmental and Safety duties for the project.
- Ensure Site Safety and Environmental Inductions are completed in accordance with Site
- Work in the guidelines of all Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) that are in place for all high-risk activities in accordance with the identified Hazard control measures of the Project Risk Assessment.
- Manage the health and wellbeing of self and consider the health and wellbeing of others, as well
outlined in the Site Management Plan.
- Monitor workplace conditions to identify hazards and risks to ensure safety to the NCS team and
- Identify and work in the guidelines of all Risk Management procedures on site by ensuring
- Raise any areas of concern to the close out non-conformances.
- Ensure that appropriate emergency preparedness processes are in place and carry out respective
- Ensure competence and accuracy to tasks.
- Ensure Project Safety and Environmental Objectives and Targets are achieved.
- Ensure all Projects Objectives and Targets are achieved
- Ensure an appropriate understanding of the project quality requirements and the Inspection
- Ensure awareness of the site requirements and that the Site Management Plan is adhered to.
- Participate in Site Meetings or Contractor meetings, if required
- Actively participate in HSEQ meetings as required
- Ensure Project non-conformances are effectively and efficiently closed out
- Ensure competency and accuracy to task
- Monitor working conditions at the workplace and project site to ensure safety of self and of
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Minimum (12) months Construction Site experience
- Concrete Repair and Remediation experience
- A demonstrated ability in Time Management and Prioritising tasks
- High communication and organizational skills
- A demonstrated ability in working in the guidelines of Health, Safety, Environmental and
Licenses and Tickets
- Drivers License (manual)
- White Card (Construction Induction Card)
- Confined Space Entry
- EWPA Operator-Yellow Card or WP High Risk Licence
- Working Safely at heights
- First Aid Certificate (Preferred)
