Business Analyst - Planning and Reporting

We are currently seeking an experienced Business Analyst to undertake a range of business partnering, Planning and analysis responsibilities under the general direction of the Manager Business Planning and Analytics.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain business intelligence dashboards and prepare periodic and ad hoc management reports.
- Play a key role in the Institute’s budgeting and forecasting process.
- Partner with managers across the business to inform, educate and support decision making.
- Develop a deeper understanding of the business drivers and deliver system and Reporting enhancements.
- Extract and analyse data from a range of systems into meaningful formats to support operational and strategic decisions.
- Undertake financial modelling activities associated with new and existing business activities.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Relevant degree and/or relevant post graduate qualification and experience in accounting/commerce, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education or training. Completion, or progression towards a CPA/CA qualification.
- Ability to analyse a range of data sources, provide appropriate advice, and prepare reports for publication.
- Demonstrated capability and experience using Business Intelligence and modelling tools such as SQL, Tableau, Power BI and Excel.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing financial management accounts and the ability to complete high-level statistical and interpretive analyses of financial and non-financial related information for reporting and planning purposes.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Able to build and maintain positive working relationships, both internal and external to the Institute.
