Configuration Manager - Nv1

Rubix Solutions is seeking an experienced Configuration Manager to join our team. The successful candidate must possess an NV1 Clearance and will oversee the management and governance of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and associated processes. This role involves working on an existing project ensuring compliance with client policies, maintaining accurate records, and supporting operational and business decisions through effective configuration management.

Responsibilities:

1. CMDB Management:

• Develop, manage, and provide governance over the CMDB update changes via automated processes or approved manual methods.
• Manage and update the Configuration Management Plan (CMP).
• Oversee the changes and manage releases across four environments and two domains.

Record Maintenance:

• Develop and maintain the Master Record Index (MRI) and Configuration Status Accounting Report (CSAR).
• Manage and review all knowledge management articles related to the operational use of the CMDB.

Configuration Audits:

• Run and manage configuration audits with engineers to meet client contractual obligations.

Discrepancy Handling:

• Develop and manage processes for handling configuration item (CI) discrepancies such as duplicates and incorrect information, in relation to other comparative CI data sources.

Process Compliance:

• Regularly review process and procedure documents for compliance with client policy and taxonomy.
• Regularly review services and ensure accurate service mappings and impact analysis in tools to support operational and business decisions.

Requirements:

• Security Clearance: NV1 Clearance is mandatory.
• Experience: Proven experience in configuration management and governance.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in managing CMDBs, conducting configuration audits, and handling CI discrepancies.
• Knowledge Management: Experience in managing knowledge articles related to CMDB operations.
• Process Compliance: Strong understanding of process and procedure compliance, with the ability to conduct regular reviews.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to perform accurate service mappings and impact analysis.

Security Clearance
