Your new role
As the Configuration Manager, you will establish, modify and implement workflows and data structures to enable effective Data and Configuration Management for the Project. You will also provide advice and guidance on methods, procedures and requirements for individuals responsible for the creation of documentation. Alongside act as liaison between management and other functional groups to resolve issues regarding configuration analysis documentation. You will also perform regular configuration audits on established baselines.
As the Configuration Management Officer, you will provide Configuration Management (CM) support through development and review of technical packages relating to configuration and assisting in configuration management activities. You will be involved with managing the records of product modifications for quality assurance and control. Assist in handling the information related to the design, manufacturing and changes of the program products. You will also arrange the agendas for the boards that review and control the product configuration and ensure that the change items are properly reviewed and processed according to the Configuration Management procedure. You will also prepare documentation for authorising the changes and evaluate the technical packages.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have:
- Australian Citizenship (Mandatory due to defence clearance requirements).
- Proven Configuration Management experience within Defence Systems
- Enjoy working in a dynamic and innovative environment.
- A Bachelor’s Degree or Graduate Degree is highly regarded
- Relevant experience in the industry or a similar level of experience.
- You will be familiar with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools.
- Solid experience with tools for Configuration and Data Management.
- Any certificates in Configuration Management (CMPIC, NDIA) will be highly regarded.
