Your new role:
You will ensure proper control and traceability of all program artefacts throughout the program lifecycle. This role involves regular interaction with various disciplines and management levels. Some of the key duties and responsibilities include:
- Implementing the Knowledge Management System to facilitate sharing of configuration controlled data within the consortium and with the Customers.
- Analysing proposed product design changes to assess their impact on the overall system.
- Establishing system baselines (Functional, Allocated, Product).
- Authorising the release of software, drawings, and specified changes.
- Providing guidance on methods, procedures, and requirements to individuals responsible for documentation creation.
- Conducting audits to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
- Performing Hardware Configuration Management (HWCM) responsibilities, including planning, identification, change management, status accounting, verification, and audit of hardware configuration items, including the review, approval, and release of COTS parts.
- Conducting Physical and Functional Configuration Audits if required.
- Performing Software Configuration Management (SWCM) responsibilities, verifying change content for the release of software and software documents through SWCM.
- Handling Data Management (DM) responsibilities, change control of program documents etc.
- Developing configuration management program plans.
- Establishing work instructions and procedures for SWCM, HWCM
What you'll need to succeed:
- Australian Citizenship
- Solid experience working as a Configuration Manager preferably in defence or transferable complex program.
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools;
- Bachelors Degree with solid relevant experience
- Configuration Management Certifications (CMPIC, NDIA);
- Knowledge of EIA-649B/C International Configuration Management Standard;
- Knowledge and some experience with Software CM, Hardware CM and Data Management Procedures and Tool sets, specifically Confluence, Jira and SharePoint
- Experience producing Integrated Logistics Support Documentation on large Defence Systems Integration Project would be highly regarded.
- Familiarity with Defence ILS Standards would be highly regarded.
