We are looking for a Configuration Manager to oversee and manage the configuration management of a multi-year high-profile and complex network infrastructure project. As a Configuration Manager, you will be responsible for:Identifying, documenting, and controlling the configuration items and their relationships within the network infrastructure in accordance with defence security, architectural, and service management processes, policies, standards, and procedures
Developing and implementing configuration management plans, policies, and procedures to ensure the integrity, availability, and security of the configuration items and their data
Performing configuration audits and inspections to verify and validate the configuration status and compliance of the configuration items and their data
Managing and updating the configuration management database and ensuring its accuracy and currency
Supporting the change management process by reviewing, analysing, and approving the configuration changes and their impacts on the configuration items and their data
Reporting and communicating the configuration status, progress, and performance to the project manager, sponsor, steering committee, and other relevant parties
Supporting the configuration items and their data in accordance with defence Service Integration and Management (SIAM) process, policies, and procedures
To be successful in this role, you will need:A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Security, or related field
Experience in configuration management, preferably in the defence sector or related industries
Knowledge of common configuration management tools and practices, such as CMDB, ITIL, ISO, or equivalent
Knowledge of common configuration management standards and frameworks, such as CMMI, COBIT, NIST, or equivalent
Knowledge of common configuration items and their types, such as hardware, software, network, data, and documentation
Knowledge of common configuration management processes, such as identification, control, status accounting, audit, and verification
Certifications such as ITIL, CMMI, COBIT, NIST, or equivalent
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Previous experience working within the defence force or on defence-related projects
Have a current NV2 security clearance.Full working rights – Must be an Australian Citizen Either Permanent or 2 x 12-month extension contracts available
