The Binet family has been serving the Coffs Harbour region since 1973, starting as Binet Homes. We pride ourselves in solving construction problems for clients who have difficulty finding solutions elsewhere. Our business has grown from a team of one to over ten, with a reliable team of subcontractors, now known as Binet Constructions.
Binet Constructions specialises in small-scale multi-residential builds and strata repairs, commercial construction, commercial fit-outs and renovations, as well as local government projects. We are a dynamic construction company with a unique approach called the 'Binet Way.' We are currently looking for a Construction Estimator to join our successful team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated individual who can demonstrate attention to detail, accurate pricing, and the ability to work within a team and autonomously.
About you
To join our dynamic team, you will need to be a forward-thinking individual with a strong work ethic and can demonstrate the following:
- Qualification and/or relevant trade experience within the building/estimating industry is desirable.
- At least 3 years’ experience in Construction
- Solid experience in accurately interpreting construction plans and specifications
- Demonstrated time management and organisational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal coordination and client interactions.
- Can work autonomously with minimal supervision.
- Consistently be able to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding thoroughness; demonstrating analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to operate a range of construction-related software.
- Ability to work with relevant codes and legislation with a thorough understanding of the residential building sector in NSW.
- Presenting and conducting yourself professionally as a team member of Binet Constructions.
Duties include:
- Provide timely and accurate estimates for all projects.
- Scheduling and compiling bills of quantities for proposals.
- Obtaining pricing from suppliers and sub-contractors.
- Accurate budgeting.
- Maintaining up-to-date, accurate price lists and upgrades in Buildertrend or similar programs.
- Attend onsite inspections, complete measure ups, and document tender-specific information
