Our client has become a recognised builder within the high end Residential, Mixed-Commercial & Sports/Recreation sectors, successfully winning & delivering projects between $5-30M.
Working closely with the Directors, this rare opportunity is providing a clear pathway into a management role within the company and will have the opportunity to further expand their own team in the short to medium term.
The successful candidate will be joining a young, but very experienced, fast-growing business who have had huge success over their 7 years in business. This role is suitable for those of an intermediate level that are motivated and keen to progress quickly, as well as a more established senior keen to move into management & have broader influence over the companies’ operations.
Responsibilities
- Analyze plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates.
- Utilize industry-leading software and tools to produce detailed cost breakdowns and pricing proposals.
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and suppliers to gather all necessary information for accurate estimates.
- Conduct thorough research to identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative materials without compromising quality.
- Monitor project progress and provide ongoing support to address any changes or revisions to initial estimates.
- 5-10 years’ experience as an estimator within the commercial building sector.
- Experience in commercial projects between $5 - 50M.
- Proficiency in reading architectural drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with industry-standard estimating software and tools.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
