Responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Implement and maintain strict quality control measures to ensure all construction projects meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations.
  • Assist Construction Supervisors with creating and maintaining detailed project schedules, coordinating the activities of various trades and suppliers to ensure timely completion.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Enforce compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety on the construction site.
  • Troubleshoot construction projects to identify and resolve issues promptly, making informed decisions to keep projects on track.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor the progress and quality of construction projects.
  • Monitor projects closely to mitigate any margin erosion.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Minimum of 5 years in residential construction, preferably in a management role.
  • Trade qualification is desirable.
  • Proven ability to lead, train, and develop a diverse team of construction professionals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Highly motivated and results-oriented, with a strong commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members, suppliers, and clients.
  • In-depth understanding of construction processes, building codes, and industry best practices.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients

Why Montgomery Homes?

  • Competitive salary plus a company car, phone & tablet.
  • In these turbulent times within the construction industry, have peace of mind working for a company that is financially strong with no debt.
  • Enjoy a variety of discounts at some of Australia’s favourite retailers such as Harvey Norman, JB HI-FI, Big W and many more.
  • Enjoy a variety of discounted lifestyle services such as gym memberships, internet plans, airbnb and many more.
