Construction Project Engineer

Currently, Engineering Applications (ENAP) is seeking an experienced, energetic and enthusiastic Construction Project Engineer to join our construction team as part of this growing sector within our company. 

The successful candidate will require experience in the construction industry and will immediately form part of our team to deliver projects in our diverse industrial construction sector.  

The appointed applicant will report directly to the Construction Manager and possess the following skills:

• Strong safety focus and have a proven ability to implement safety strategies throughout the concept and delivery phases of the project;
• Worked within a structured Quality and Environment system and understand relevant industry codes and standards;
• Have proven ability to successfully communicate with clients to ensure that their desired outcome for the project is delivered;
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects across a variety of work fronts (ie. time management and organisational skills are essential for this role);
• Previous experience in working with clients to compile a project scope of works to then translate into project estimates and budgets;
• Compile and submit formal tender proposals to stringent quality standards and to strict deadlines;
• Experience in project planning, methodology plans and project programming using Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar. 
• Ability to communicate short and long-range programs specific to the project to construction trades and client representatives;
• Vetting, engaging and managing subcontractors, including elements of contract administration;
• Experience in managing project claims and variations along with trade forecasting;
• Developed and delivered monthly invoicing in accordance with the Head Contract conditions to clients;
• Ability to effectively communicate in a team environment with Site Managers and Site Supervisors for the successful delivery (safety, quality and program) of projects;
• Exceed client expectations for the delivery and handover of works with energy and enthusiasm

The candidate we are looking for would need to have the following experience:

• Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management or Civil/Structural Engineering with desire for project delivery career.  Suitable candidate with knowledge of the industry and experience in the management of construction trades will also be considered.  
• Experience as a Site Engineer or Project Engineer working on building and Construction Projects.
• Competent computer skills for programming, project planning software, and all Microsoft programs.
