Summary:
GH Properties (GH) is an Australian mixed-use property developer with considerable experience gained over 30 years in developing, building, and operating vibrant, luxury residential, tourism, sport, and recreation precincts.
We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to join our team and enhance the quality of our deliveries.
Position Overview:
As a Project Manager you will collaborate closely with clients, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. We anticipate that this appointment will be for a period of up to 6 to 9 months, however it is possible that the appointment may be extended subject to business needs and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate project activities and ensure adherence to project timeline and budget constraints.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and subcontractors, maintaining strong relationships and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plan, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and conflicts in a proactive manner
- Lead project meetings, progress reviews, and close-out meetings, ensuring clear communication and alignment among all stakeholders.
- Prepare and present project status reports and updates to senior management.
- Manage change orders and variations to project scope, ensuring proper documentation and approval processes are followed.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery processes and methodologies.
- This role will also play a crucial role in contract administration duties as it will be a dual role. Examples would be sub-contract claims reviews and processing, variation requests and responses.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in high-end residential construction, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, building codes, and regulations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Exceptional organisational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in project management software tools, including MS project, Procure or similar.
- Tertiary qualifications would be an advantage.
- Previous trade qualifications or onsite management also considered to be preferable.
