About the Role:
As a Project Manager, you will play an integral role in planning and executing commercial-scale landscape construction works, both hard and soft landscaping. You will be responsible for understanding the contracted scope of works, managing teams, and ensuring projects are completed to our high standards.
Responsibilities:
- Reading and interpreting site plans.
- Managing all works according to the contracted scope.
- Maintaining efficient and safe usage of all machinery on site.
- Proactively showing initiative with ideas, problem-solving, and providing regular updates.
- Ensuring projects are completed efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Complying with company policies regarding W, H&S, Quality Control, and Environmental Systems.
- Regular communication with suppliers.
- Estimation and scoping.
- Project/Development budgeting.
- Collaborating with the management team to develop project solutions.
- Providing cost advice to clients.
- Calculating and preparing quantities.
- Managing and preparing tender submissions.
- Requesting subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Contract administration.
- Project risk management.
- Attending site inspections and project meetings.
- Progress claims and variation assessments.
- Working with onsite teams in the delivery of projects.
- Providing updates to all stakeholders.
Along with a strong work ethic and a minimum of 5 years of experience in Hard & Soft Landscape Construction, you will have:
- A tertiary qualification in Project Management, Landscape Architecture, Engineering, Landscape Construction, or other relevant disciplines.
- Strong background and work experience in leading staff.
- Experience in commercial construction of retaining walls, drainage systems, concreting, paving, demolition, earth and civil works, and horticulture.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong knowledge, and possible use, of all relevant machinery utilised within the landscaping industry.
- Ambition to grow and improve the business.
- Ability to build client relationships.
- Experience in managing subcontractors and staff.
- Financial accountability.
- Construction Industry Induction (White Card)
- Current Driver's License
