Construction Project Manager

Exciting opportunity to join a growing construction team! 
We are looking for a skilled, proactive, and eager Construction Project Manager to join the construction division in an expanding company.
The ideal candidate must have experience in the construction field and will join our team right away to work on projects in our varied industrial construction sector.
  
The selected candidate will directly report to the Construction Manager and have the following duties:

• Demonstrated capability in effectively communicating with clients to ensure the project meets their expectations.
• Demonstrated capability in overseeing multiple projects across different work areas (e.g., time management and organizational skills are critical for this position).
• Experience in partnering with clients to develop project scope, ensuring cost-effective project delivery.
• Draft and deliver high-quality tender proposals meeting strict deadlines. 
• Experienced in a structured Quality and Environment system and is familiar with relevant industry standards and norms.
• Proven ability to communicate with clients in a way that ensures the project meets their expectations.
• Dedicated attention to safety and a track record of successfully executing safety measures from project inception to completion;
• Proficient in project planning, methodology development, and project scheduling utilizing tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, or equivalent software.
• Vetting, engaging and managing subcontractors, including elements of contract administration
• Experience in overseeing project claims and variations, as well as conducting trade forecasting.
• Capability to efficiently engage in team communication with Site Managers and Site Supervisors to ensure the successful completion of projects (ensuring safety, quality, and program adherence).

The candidate we are looking for requires:

• Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management or Civil/Structural Engineering is preferred, with a keen interest in pursuing a career in project delivery. However, individuals with industry knowledge and experience in managing construction trades will also be considered.
• Experience as a Site Engineer or Project Engineer working on building and Construction Projects.
• Competent computer skills for programming, project planning software, and all Microsoft programs.
