We are looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team.
Candidates must have a minimum of three years experience working in Construction Project Management, and must have working experience in a Procurement and Purchasing role.
You will regularly be required to:
- Utilize architectural training and experience to interpret drawings
- Coordinate the procurement and delivery of materials, plant and equipment in line with Project requirements
- Consult with Design team, the Manufacturing team, Technical Team and Department Leaders as required on Project and procurement requirements
- Negotiate and consult with subcontractors and suppliers involved in the construction process to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Play an active role, as required, in providing information for the purpose of preparing tenders and contract bids
- Maintain accurate records of all purchases, costs, agreements, contracts, inventory, and milestones to effectively track project progress in line with targets
- Compile regular reports as required to support the business in future planning and to evaluate project performance
- Regularly conduct performance reviews with external consultants and suppliers to ensure the business has the most appropriate supply chain for delivery of projects
- Ensure adherence to building legislation and standards of performance, quality, cost and safety through effective procurement practices
- overseeing the standard and progress of subcontractors' work
- arranging building inspections by local authorities
Candidates must have:
- A minimum of two years in Construction Project Management
- Completed studies or have extensive working knowledge on Architectural practices
- Australian Drivers Licence
- Extensive experience working with various computer platforms, systems and programs
This is a permanent full time position based out of our Berrimah office, Darwin.
