We are currently working with a Tier 1 mining company who is looking to engage experiencedConstruction Supervisorson an ongoing assignment.
Position Overview:
As a Construction Mining Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing construction activities at our mining sites. You will be responsible for leading a team of skilled workers to ensure that construction projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within budget. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects and contribute to the success of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Construction Manager with day-to-day construction supervision.
- Night shift coverage will be required. Hitting daily productivity targets for the Constructor is essential, as well the requisite QA/QC and safety requirements.
- Supervise construction activities, including earthworks, civil works, and infrastructure development, to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
- Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to allocate resources effectively and manage project schedules.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide leadership and guidance to construction crews, promoting a culture of safety, teamwork, and excellence.
- Monitor project progress and report on key performance indicators, highlighting areas for improvement and optimisation.
- Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to resolve technical issues and implement solutions.
- Trade Qualification
- 10years + experience in a supervisory role within the mining or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, equipment, and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Proven track record of delivering construction projects on time and within budget.
- Sound understanding of risk management principles and practices.
- Relevant qualifications in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
