About Our Client:
Our client, based in Gladstone are seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor for a 12 month contract. You will be required to work Monday-Friday with the possibility of weekends.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Program Delivery Manager, as Construction Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and monitoring contractors to ensure projects safety and technical specifications are adhered to. The position also assists in the development of project scopes, quality requirements, schedule, and costs.
- Work closely with Project managers and network operations staff to coordinate and prioritise project work;
- Be familiar with and work under a permit to work system;
- Develop and maintain project documentation compliant with the clients policies, procedures and legislative requirements;
- Manage and maintain stakeholder communications and expectations;
- Maintain up-to-date schedules and registers for risk, cost and scope;
- Support development of scope of works for design and construction tender documents;
- Review and sign off on quality, testing and compliance requirements;
- Identify and mitigate corporate and project risks within the project lifecycle;
- Assist in tender review processes;
- Ensure timely and budget compliant project delivery.
Standard hours are Monday to Friday 6am – 3pm (inc 1 hour break). Some weekend work may be required, this will be confirmed when/ if the need arises.
To be successful for this role you will need the following:
Essential:
- Mechanical/ Electrical trade qualifications;
- Working knowledge of project management, construction, and contractual principles;
- Demonstrated experience in supervising maintenance or minor capital works;
- Ability to read and interpret engineering plan and drawings;
- Experience in infrastructure construction and contractor management;
- Ability to maintain project schedules, revise estimates and review claims;
- Proficiency in MS office suite.
