In this role, you'll:
- Act as a senior site representative for Transport for NSW on a transformational major infrastructure project in the Hunter region
- Aid in diversion of 25,000 vehicles now causing congestion into a new road system changing the way people commute.
- Work with some cutting-edge technology overseeing and managing over land bridge projects including a 2.5 km viaduct.
- Manage and oversee civil construction works such as earthworks, roads, pavements and asphalt conducted by Transport for NSW and our valued industry partners.
- Attend daily pre-starts, report on project progress and complete quality / safety / environmental surveillance.
- Collaborate with your delivery partners, industry partners and additional internal stakeholders across engineering, environmental, technical, safety & quality to ensure the successful delivery of project outcomes.
- Oversee and mentor other Transport for NSW Surveillance Officers.
About you
- Extensive experience working in Construction Surveillance or a highly experience Civil Construction Supervisor.
- Previous experience in understanding of complications of around working within floodplains.
- Previous experience on highway/motorway road projects, with in-depth knowledge of transports specifications of asphalt and pavements.
- The ability to lead and mentor others leaning on your extensive road building experience.
- Looking for work life balance, offering a 38 hour week.
This role is based between Black Hill and Raymond Terrace requiring daily onsite presence. We can offer flexible start and finish times.
Fixed term full-time opportunity until December 2026.
