About this role

The Opportunity:

We're seeking an enthusiastic and driven Consultant to join our Planning team in Sydney CBD, NSW. Leveraging your foundational knowledge and proven skills, you'll actively support our clients by offering sound statutory and strategic urban planning advice and insights.

You will:

  • Provide a range of services including advice relating to land use, development capability, due diligence assessments, master plans, the approval process and management.
  • Draft submissions, proposals and advice for clients.
  • Communicate in a clear, concise and timely manner to internal and external clients.
  • Contribute to the drafting of proposals, tenders, and submissions for projects.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of quality assurance initiatives and support Planning's Business Plan.
  • Work alongside other professionals on a range of multi-disciplinary projects, ensuring adherence to specifications, deadlines, budgets, and achieving commercial outcomes.
  • Actively promote the firm and its services to create business opportunities.

About You: 

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in Urban Planning.
  • Holds tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Town Planning or a related discipline.
  • Possesses some experience in statutory or strategic planning, ideally gained in a consultancy or local government environment.
  • Ability to prioritise the competing demands of multiple projects within agreed timeframes.
  • Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills and can engage with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Possesses an appreciation and understanding of impacts and issues affecting land use and development.
