The Impact You’ll Make;
As the Innovation Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the charge in New Product Development from concept to prototype. You will lead the Stage and Gate process for all major projects, own Product and Technology Roadmaps, lead product-related quality, compliance, Value Engineering and continuous improvement projects and develop Project Management capability across the business to improve speed to market.
This is a hybrid role that is located in Ingleburn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management – Take the lead on all major projects, managing business-wide stakeholder engagement to deliver on time and on budget.
- Project Governance – Lead a Stage and Gate Process for New Product Development and other major projects.
- Product and Technology Roadmaps – Accountable for the depth and quality of the new product pipeline and leading market and technology investigations to identify business growth opportunities. You will work with the Product Design Engineer to translate value propositions into product concepts.
- Capability Development - Establish best practice project management and embed the Innovation process within the business. Lead the adoption of Project Management and workflow tools, systems, and processes. Coach project leads on best practice and leverage resources from the ITW Global Innovation Centre.
- Management of Change – Create and maintain a product risk register to lead the business through audits or major product-related changes and develop processes for managing quality. Lead a program of value engineering and continuous improvement to deliver better product performance and planned cost reductions across the supply chain.
- Sustainability – lead ITW Consumer’s commitment to achieving APCO targets for 2025 and embed a proactive approach to sustainability across the portfolio.
About You.
You will have attained or have experience in: -
- Degree in Business, Marketing or Engineering with an MBA highly regarded
- New product development, roadmaps and innovation process ownership
- Project management and delivery including capability development, workflow tools and governance
- Technical and compliance oversight of products and packaging including audits, reporting and sustainability commitments
- Change management and stakeholder engagement
- Alignment with ITW's Culture & Values, showcasing traits of Integrity, Simplicity, Trust, Respect, and Shared risk
