The Brisbane Broncos are a professional rugby league football Club. The organisation was founded in 1987, prior to the team’s entry into the competition in 1988, as the first team outside of NSW. The Brisbane Broncos have built an iconic brand in Australian Sport and are the only publicly listed sporting franchise on the Australian Securities Exchange having grown from a total revenue of $29m in 2011 to a revenue of circa $60m in 2022.
The Club has delivered a lot of success over this time, winning six Premiership titles in the NRL Men’s competition and three Premiership titles in the NRL Women’s competition. Our vision is to become a World Class Sporting Organisation and have one of the largest fan bases in Australian sport. About the role
The Content Coordinator is accountable for producing quality and engaging content for use across all the Club’s digital platforms. Working as a key part of the Marketing and Digital team, this role is primarily focused on increasing recognition of – and engagement with – the Club’s widespread work connect with its community both on and off the football field.
Working as a key part of the Marketing and Digital team, this role is focused on developing high quality content, primarily across emerging digital platforms. Key accountabilities include:
- Produce, shoot, edit and optimise content across all our social media platforms that appeals to our target audience and ensures maximum exposure and engagement;
- Assist in shooting content that will be used for brand and product campaigns, digital advertising and for social platforms;
- Work collaboratively with the Marketing and Digital team to develop social media content as part of a wider strategy to increase coverage of the Broncos brand;
- Assist with coordination, management and direction of photo and video shoots;
- Assist with the creation of content on campaign shoots & at events;
- Assist in liaising with creators, influencers and talent managers;
- Trend and market insight identification and industry analysis;
- Supporting the Platform Manager with general social media management including responding to comments and messages;
- Find ways to repurpose existing content to constantly create new angles and strategies;
This role is exposed to sensitive and privileged information on a daily basis. It is essential that discretion and confidentiality is exercised in all interactions internally and externally.
Key Criteria
- Tertiary qualification in Communications, Multimedia, Video Production or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience working in content production for a minimum of 12 months.
- Demonstrated skills using a Content Management System.
- relevant capability with video production equipment, and associated post-production software;
- Proven DSLR photography skills with the ability to use a variety of camera and video hardware.
- Demonstrated skills in capturing, editing and producing content with a video camera.
- Proven skills using the MS Office suite and Adobe Creative Suite or similar.
- Demonstrated understanding of a variety of microphones and audio recording.
- Commitment to high work standards, attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Demonstrated excellent time management and organisation skills.
- Proven ability to operate both as an autonomous, dynamic and flexible team member.
- Current Driver’s licence.
- Current Working with Children Check (including Blue Card).
