Communications Coordinator - Content

NSW Government Department – Parramatta (1-2 days per week in office)

ASAP start – initial contract to 16/08/2024

Pay rate: $61.20 per hour + super

This role supports the External Communications function for the business unit. It supports the digital content team working on their website
  
Key accountabilities:

• Directly assist the Senior Communications Advisor in managing the Jira job queue and assessing and allocating jobs to a team of content editors
• Client liaison
• Collation of related digital assets required for a publishing job to be completed including written content, related images, maps, PDFs or video.

• Upload content and digital to content management system (CMS)  

Selection criteria:

• Relevant tertiary level qualifications
• Experience in a similar role
• CMS experience (preferably Sitecore and Drupal)
• Content editing experience – strong editing capability and technical expertise with the ability to consider topic context, audience and structure
• Understanding of NSW Government website content and digital standards and principles, including Plain English and Accessibility.
• Ability to work diligently with minimal supervision
• Strong team player with a collaborative project team approach
