About the role This role is part of the Digital Experience team and reports to the Digital Content & Accessibility Lead. The Digital Experience team is made up of Content Designers and UX designers responsible for digital transformation projects and business-as-usual (BAU) tasks.
Our Content Designers are responsible for supporting the content needs of various stakeholders for the City of Boroondara website and Engage Boroondara. You will deliver informative and instructional content that is findable, usable and accessible to all of our users.
You will be responsible for:
- developing accessible, customer-focussed content
- quality assurance to make sure all content meets our style and WCAG
- continuous improvement of the user experience
- using analytics to support your work.
About you
- You have experience designing content to meet user needs and make complex language and processes easy to understand. Ability to do this for a range of content types, including informational, promotional and instructional content.
- You have experience leading content development, production and publishing for large, complex websites, as well as working with triaged BAU digital content requests and editorial/publishing calendars.
- You have experience using website analytics and research tools to gain insights that can be used to enhance customer experience.
- You understand agile methodology and ability to apply an agile mindset to all aspects of their work.
- You have experience taking a human-centred design approach to solving content problems.
- You have experience building and sustaining positive internal partnerships and working with technical subject matter experts.
- You have knowledge and understanding of usability and accessibility standards as they apply to mobile and web-based digital content.
- You have experience using a range of content management systems (CMS). Experience using Drupal is desirable.
