Job description

Fastvue helps schools, businesses, and governments save countless lives by detecting online safety issues such as indications of suicide, self-harm, extremism and more. We work with the world’s leading firewalls to deliver the visibility organisations need to keep everyone safe, secure and productive online.

At Fastvue, we're always working on interesting projects and helping a diverse range of organisations through our software, but we need help telling the world about it all!

We are looking for a Content Writer & Content Marketing Specialist who is passionate about storytelling and copywriting, to help create compelling content and become the driving force behind increasing awareness and desirability of the Fastvue brand across the globe.

You’ll be responsible for researching and finding stories in our industries, from our customers, and within the company, crafting engaging content, and ensuring it reaches the right audiences through the best channels.

This role is pivotal to Fastvue’s growth strategy and the work you do will lay the foundations of a high-performing global communications, content, and marketing team, which you’ll have the opportunity to grow and lead if desired.

This is a great opportunity for a talented, driven individual to own the role, make a substantial impact, and if desired, help build out the company’s communication and marketing efforts with full autonomy.

If you’re ready to help Fastvue tell its story to the world, we’d love to hear from you! Remember, reviewing resumes is a horrible, tedious job so do what you can to showcase your talent and stand out from the crowd!

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation & Strategy: Identify, research, craft, and implement engaging stories and content strategies.
  • Messaging & Engagement: Craft the right messages for various audiences and refine our messaging and communication across all channels.
  • Content Distribution: Ensure the content reaches the right audience either directly or by working with specialist agencies such as PR, social media, SEO and advertising.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • An awesome sense of humour and strong values of honesty, helpfulness, and humility.
  • Exceptional copywriting and storytelling skills and a passion for crafting the right message for the right audience.
  • Experience in content creation such as news articles, blogs, knowledge base documentation, YouTube channels, or social media.
  • A working knowledge of digital marketing techniques and search engine optimisation.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fully remote, distributed team that defaults to asynchronous communication with occasional video meetings or calls.
  • A responsible, disciplined, and proactive work ethic. You will be creating and prioritising your own work with minimal supervision.
  • A ‘no job too big or small’ mindset. Always willing to do the research, get on the tools, do the work, and get stuff done.
  • An ongoing practice of using and learning new technology to improve productivity and stay at the top of your game.
  • An ambitious desire to grow with the company and help build the foundations of a high-functioning global communications and marketing team.

Benefits

  • Work from home or anywhere with an internet connection, with flexible hours and autonomy (no micromanaging here!).
  • We’ll cover any reasonable expense that helps you work happily and productively.
  • We encourage you to get out of the house and out of your comfort zone, and are happy to cover fees and transport to local networking events, co-working spaces, and conferences.
  • Looking for a full-time, part-time, casual, or contract position? We’re open to discussing all options to fit the role into your life rather than the other way around.
  • You’ll be doing meaningful work with an international team currently spread throughout Australia, the USA, and the UK (one of us lives on a boat floating between countries!).
  • Opportunity to build and lead a team. This role can be as big as you make it!
