About the Role
We are currently looking for a Contract Administrator with 2-5 years commercial construction experience to join our team in a dynamic working environment for current and upcoming projects. You will report directly to our Construction Director and Project Manager and will be responsible for the administration of contracts including:
- Assisting with procurement, including preparing trade comparisons, Scope of Works and Subcontract Agreements;
- Preparing Client and Subcontractor progress claims;
- Processing variations in accordance with procedures;
- Reporting on budgets for various projects;
- Administering smaller commercial projects;
- Coordinating and liaising with sub-contractors, site staff and office employees; and
- Document Control including RFI's.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this role, it is essential that you have:
- 2-5 years Perth base experience in Commercial Construction Contract Administration;
- A degree in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying;
- Ability to read and interpret plans;
- Experience in CHEOPS and Procore is desirable, but not essential;
- Excellent financial and contractual management skills;
- Strong communication and negotiation skills – both oral and written;
- Ability to work within a team environment, but also have the ability to work autonomously and be a self-starter;
- Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to multi task;
- Attention to detail;
- Ability to use a computer and strong knowledge of Microsoft office programs;
- Strong knowledge of safety and building regulations; and
- A positive “can do attitude”.
