THE ROLE
The role of the contracts administrator involves aiding project teams in effectively managing & overseeing contracts throughout the entire project journey. This ensures the successful execution of high-quality, secure, and financially rewarding projects. Additionally, the contracts administrator plays a key role in recognising and mitigating potential contractual and financial risks.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Negotiate and review subcontract tenders
- Subcontractor Management
- Contract Risk Management
- Operational Excellence
- Assist with financial management of projects
- Quality Compliance
- Reporting
- Provide regular status updates to the Project Manager for all facets of the project
- Developing knowledge of subcontract tendering, standards, procedures and the competitive market
- Developing proficiency in required software
- Developing proficiency in web-based collaboration software
- Learning how to identify and control of construction risk
- Knowledge of the companies subcontract agreement and construction management agreement
- Ability to deliver OH&S general induction and site safety plan training
- Developing a solid understanding of the companies HSE management system
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good negotiation skills
- Construction or engineering degree or a building related qualification with additional experience to equate to a degree advantageous
- 4 years+ experience in the construction industry
- First Aid certificate
- Construction Safety Induction (white) card
