An exciting opportunity has become available for a Contract Advisor to join the Snowy Hydro 2.0 Commercial team. This role is based in Cooma.
This position is responsible for the delivery of commercial aspects of the Snowy 2.0 project and will include but not limited to providing commercial support to the project team, maintaining commercial information and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and ensuring that Snowy Hydro's ethics and values are maintained. They will liaise with Snowy's representatives and other third parties on commercial issues including site surveillance, agreement of variations, claims and payment.
Your key responsibilities in this role will include:
Actively contribute and maintain a correspondence register that allows for effective and streamlined tracking of contractual correspondence
Draft and manage contractual communications
Evaluate main contractors' claims/requests
Proactively resolve contract compliance issues
Ensure all relevant documentation is obtained/released
Proactively seek to resolve any disputes and/or support any dispute function
Actively participate and contribute to the head contract payment cycle
Actively participate in the Risk Management process
Actively participate in the change management process
Review the contractors Progress Reports and general correspondence
Maintain contractual records and documentation and ensure that all records are methodically archived in line with procedures
We're looking for someone with:
Major project procurement and contract administration
Negotiation
Knowledge of Cost Plus and Target Cost Contracts
Practical application of construction law
Quantitative claims analysis and management
Drafting and administration of contractual correspondence notices and variations
Familiarity with relevant legislation (egmSecurity of Payment, Australian Jobs Act)
Quantity Surveying
Function and operation of DAABs
General lay understanding of alternative dispute resolution (adjudication, arbitration)
