Pay Rate: Up to $55 - $60p/h + super (casual)
Assignment: Temporary, Full-time, 38hrs/week, until September 2024 (possibility of extension)
Maxima's Recruitment Services is seeking a Contract Specialist to manage high-value infrastructure project contracts for one of our government clients. The role involves ensuring compliance, resolving issues, and maintaining strong contractor relationships.
About the Role
As a Contract Specialist, you'll manage high-value, high-volume contracts for our infrastructure design and delivery program. You'll ensure contract compliance, provide expert advice, resolve issues swiftly, and maintain strong relationships with contractors. Provide advice to stakeholders to ensure positive outcomes for the community.
- Monitor and control expenditure, review payment claims, and prepare accruals and claims reports.
- Understand contract details, provide expert advice, and support governance forums.
- Monitor contractor performance, review and negotiate claims, and ensure delivery improvements.
- Prepare and issue authorized services/works, ensuring financial delegation compliance.
- Review operations and generate ideas for improvement.
- Build effective relationships with internal clients and provide high-quality professional services.
- Tertiary qualifications in administration, financial management, construction management, engineering, accounting, or quantity surveying, or equivalent experience.
- Over 3 to 6 years of experience managing major infrastructure contracts.
- Proven commercial experience in TCE and ECI frameworks or similar models.
