Within Western Australia our Mining & Resources Division delivers engineering and construction projects for our key Tier 1 iron ore producing clients, which enables them to sustain and expand their mining operations throughout the Pilbara Region of Western Australia. As a trusted partner to the WA resource sector, Calibre is integrated in our Client’s Major Projects which enables up to go above and beyond and succeed together with our clients.

The Role:

Working across our mining & resources portfolio, you’ll have exposure to a number or mid-large size projects of varying commodities. This position will support our contracts & procurement project teams with all round contract administration and tender support. You will be required to liaise daily with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and commercial needs are being met. Your day to day will include;

• Contributing to and reviewing the scopes of work and contract conditions
• Arranging for the commercial and technical evaluation of bids, and ensuring that purchase orders comply with appropriate specifications
• Assessing, reviewing and advising senior/project managers in respect of contractor claims for variations, progress claims and extensions
• Ensuring all commercial requirements of the contracts are satisfied; and developing and maintaining sound professional relationships with key suppliers

• Relevant Tertiary Qualifications (Contracts/ Commerce / Legal etc)
• Sound understanding of the principles and practice of Contracts Management
• Demonstrated commercial contracts management and administration experience in similar role, ideally within an Engineering Service Provider or Tier 1 mining environment
• The ability to work alone to self-imposed deadlines but also work as part of the team
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders
• Excellent attention to detail
