We are currently seekinga Contracts Administrator for an earthworks and concrete contractor client of ours based in Malaga.Role descriptions and duties include but are not limited to:
- Work collaboratively with the project team, internal stakeholders, subcontractors, clients, and consultants.
- Procure subcontractors and supplies.
- Prepare and submit all commercial notices and claims promptly (including variations, delays, disruptions etc.) including performing technical analysis and evidence documents.
- Prepare payment claims, with the support of the Construction/Project Manager.
- Identify and maximise cost and schedule-saving opportunities.
- Implement forecasting and cost control processes / strategy.
- Produce timely and accurate cost analysis to understand the basis of any variances to the project forecast and budget.
- Negotiate contract terms and conditions, ensuring all contractual obligations are maintained and administered.
- Coordinate the review and timely approval of payment claims submitted by subcontractors.
- Actively build strong relationships with key stakeholders and manage ongoing communication throughout the project.
Experience and Qualifications required:
- Site Construction and or Engineering experience, with a desire to move into a more commercial role will be considered.
- At least 3-5 years of Contracts experience.
- Experience in civil construction (Highly desirable).
- Degree in Business, Law, Engineering, or Quantity Surveying would be highly advantageous but not essential.
- Demonstrate an understanding of current contract law, relevant legislation and its application to the mining and oil and gas industries.
- Demonstrable knowledge in subcontracts and high value client contracts.
- Sound proficiency in the use of MS Suite (Outlook, Word & Excel)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience in a similar work environment and the ability to work autonomously as well as a pro-active team member in a cooperative environment.
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
- An ability to engage and develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, subcontractors and suppliers.
