About this Role: This is a full time Position that will see you working with Cappah Groups Formwork, Concrete and Steel Fixing Divisons.
Key Responsibilities.
- Working Closely with Estimator at time of Tender
- · Review and prepare all contract documents for execution and ensure that exchange of contracts takes place and all contracts are in place prior to commencement of construction.
- Inform contractors and subcontractors of their rights and obligations under these contracts.
- Interprets contract provisions to help resolve claims and questions submitted by contractors
- Monitor the progress of the construction to ensure that the construction program is progressing as per schedule.
- Monitor and document all amendments and variations to contracts as required.
- Assist and respond to enquiries concerning contractual variations, project progression and/or time related matters.
- Key support to the Project Manager, and work closely with key personnel like Engineers and site supervisors to meet the project requirements safely and correctly.
- Liaising with subcontractors, material suppliers and trades to ensure that goals and schedules are met
- Participate in construction progress meetings and advise senior management on initiatives to improve, compliment or add to current processes and procedures as required
- Establish and update records of all correspondence related to contract activity
- prepare and submit monthly progress Claims
Skills and Experience
- Strong knowledge of Formwork systems, techniques, and industry best practices
- A high level of analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills
- The ability to deal with complex financial and budgetary situations
- Job Pac experience will be a distinct advanatage.
- To be highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks at once
- At least 5 years work experience in a similar role. Previous experience in the construction industry is a necessity
- Proficient in project management software and tools, as well as MS Office applications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred), or equivalent experience
- Proven experience as a Contract administrator or in a similar role, with a track record of successfully delivering Structure projects on time and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of Formwork systems, techniques, and industry best practices.
