Contracts Manager (Architecture & Design)

Job description If you are an experienced contract negotiator and manager in the architecture and design realm this is the ideal role for you. 

Over see and drive agreements and negotiations of contracts in favor of this impressive design business within the commercial sector, while managing risks and liability to protect the business's interests. 

Work closely with both internal project teams and senior leadership including the legal team but importantly also with clients to understand their needs and contractual obligations. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Manage the contracts portfolio from negotiation, administration and variations. 
• Use the negotiation stages to foster stronger business relationships with clients and stakeholders. 
• Mentor and coach internal teams on how to effectively negotiate contract terms and conditions. 
• Keep project teams and leaders up to date throughout the project lifecycle on contract deliverables and risks. 
• Maintain records of contract negotiation progress and status through regular reports to directors. 
• Support the BDM team with client engagement and preparation of fee proposals.

Ideal candidate: 

• Relevant degree level qualification in business management/commerce/architecture / interior design or equivalent experience.
• Strong experience in negotiating commercial contractual agreements and contract administration.
• Strong client account management experience, preferably in an architecture or interior design environment.
• Detail-oriented and organized professional with strong communication skills both verbal and written. 
• Strong stakeholder management skills and political acumen.
• Approachable and collaborative working style with strong planning, highly organised and process driven outlook.
• Experience with a CRM tool will be advantageous.
