Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) is a Strategic Industry Partner for the development of the Australian Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance (GWEO) Enterprise with goals to enhance self-reliance, supply chain resilience, and developing a guided weapons manufacturing capability in Australia. The Strategic Capabilities Office (SCO) will oversee the execution of GWEO initiatives.
You would be responsible for providing advice to the ADSCO / GWEO project teams on the full range of contract management activities and responsibilities include negotiating and managing a variety of contract types, initiating, tracking, and monitoring contract changes, deliverables, correspondence, and risks, and maintaining associated documentation.
This role can be located in either Barton ACT or Melbourne VIC
In this role, you will:
- Lead the preparation non-disclosure agreements, teaming agreements, international sales agreements, and other contractual documents.
- Support the drafting and management of responses to requests for tenders and proposals.
- Act as the principal interface with external customers on contractual matters.
- Perform risk assessments of proposed contractual terms and conditions and develop recommendations to minimise their potential risk to the business.
- Participate in management review of proposals, tenders, and contracts and ensure that all legal and contractual matters relating to tenders and proposals are addressed efficiently and promptly.
- Prepare and disseminate information regarding contract status, compliance, modifications, etc.
- Responsible for implementation of, and adherence to, contract management policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance to business personnel on contract obligations and requirements, contracting policies and procedures.
- Maintain contract documentation and contract administration systems to ensure a full and complete record of all contract information is kept.
- Post contract-award, provide contract management support to programs such as preparing contract change proposals, conducting reviews to ensure contractual obligations are being met and providing advice to resolve contractual problems with the project delivery team in a timely manner.
- Ensure contracts activities are carried out in compliance with legislation, statutory regulations and ethical standards.
- Ensure appropriate document handling processes are in place to manage customer Confidential Information, as well as processes to ensure sufficient marking and protection of Lockheed Martin Proprietary Information including those required to support Company obligations under US Export control regimes.
- Work collaboratively with Sourcing to ensure Program commercial arrangements are back to back / consistent with Head Contracts.
- Work collaboratively with Finance and Business Operations to ensure program financial arrangements are acceptable and managed accordingly, including Milestone payments, cashflow management, escalation provisions.
- Work collaboratively with Export/Import (EXIM) to ensure Program export / import obligations and requirements are met.
About you:
To be successful in securing this position, you will have:
- Experience in contract management, supply chain or procurement in contract and supplier management activities.
- Knowledge of legislative frameworks, Australian Standards and their application to commercial contracts and stakeholder obligations.
- Proven background managing contracts through all phases to completion; supported by strong commercial acumen and analytical ability; coupled with problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to engage, influence and build strong working relationships to achieve common goals and Project objectives.
- Strong organisational and communication skills written and oral and works productively in both team and autonomous environments.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce or Legal (Desirable)
- Demonstrated ASDEFCON background/experience and demonstrated experience working within an engineering or project environment. (Desirable)
