The Opportunity
Boeing Defence Australia is seeking a highly motivated Contract Specialist working as part of the Business Units, responsible for supporting various contracting activities including:
* Developing and negotiating business solutions leading to the execution of these transactions;
* Building relationships and dealing with key stakeholders within the business, advising and guiding them in contractual interpretations and negotiations; and
* Being the primary interface with Customers and their Contracts, Commercial and legal advisors.

The Boeing Contracts function plays a key role in supporting our campaigns and new business including, developing campaign contracting strategy, responding to tenders, negotiating new contracts and providing business advice and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
You will apply your contracting knowledge, relationship and negotiation skills and business acumen to execute Boeing Defence Australia contracts. You will also provide advice to a multi-disciplined team on the efficient and effective delivery of contracting activities throughout the Boeing Defence Australia business.
Responsibilities include:
* Ensuring that contractual requirements are negotiated, executed and delivered within the policies, procedures and requirements of the company;
* Providing subject matter expertise in, and support to customer negotiations;
* Providing guidance and advice to Boeing stakeholders to ensure that contractual and legal requirements are adequately understood and communicated;
* Providing general technical oversight to maximise opportunities and minimise contractual/business risks;
* Contribute to the development of strategies and solutions to deliver upon complex contractual opportunities and issues; and
* Acting as the primary interface between Boeing and external customers for all contractual matters
Experience/Qualifications
* Minimum of 4 years' experience in leading complex contracting activities;
* Understanding of general contracting principles and the application of relevant techniques;
* Demonstrated ability to engage with diverse multidisciplinary and geographically diverse teams with a focus on service delivery and customer satisfaction;
* Demonstrated ability to engage, influence and negotiate at all levels with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including customers;
* Previous demonstrated experience with Australian Standard Defence Contracting (ASDEFCON) suit of templates is highly desirable;
* Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements; and
* Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline (e.g. Law, Accounting or Business Management). Formal qualification in Law is highly desirable.
