About the Role
Due to our continued and rapid growth in the Australian market, Securitas has an opportunity for an experienced Control Room Operator to join our business.Our client is a leading Corporate company with offices based in the Sydney CBD. Their busy office location requires the services of a highly skilled Control Room Operator
The successful applicant will play an important role in ensuring that clients data integrity is maintained at all times. The Control Room Operator will need to deliver this service in accordance with Securitas values – Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness.
The successful applicant will work a Monday to Friday roster from 8AM to 5PM
General Role Requirements/Responsibilities:
- Perform Access Control requirements including creating and modifying access control badges, reconciling, and auditing access control systems
- Ensure compliance with all Security Procedures & Policies
- Effectively use various software programs, including Access Requests using various client software programs
- Communicate with and dispatch security officers during emergencies and security incidents
- Escalate and report on incidents and provide daily activity reports in writing
- Monitor security systems, including Access Control, intrusion alarms, CCTV, building automation, environmental, fire and safety systems
- Provide central communications and coordination to a multi-tiered security team
- Other duties as instructed by the Security Supervisor and Contract Manager
Skills, Experience and Requirements:
- Hold a current NSW Security license (inc Control Room activity)
- First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011 and HLTAID010) and CPR Certificate (HLTAID009)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Previous Control Room experience in a similar environment
- Demonstrated experience in the use of computer systems including CCTV and access control
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and leadership skills
- Conflict resolution and negation skills
- Must be punctual and responsible
