Paragon Talent Solutions, a specialist Electrical, Instrumentation and Control Systems recruitment has been engaged to assist a global organisation who manufacture, design and deliver electrical and automation solutions to a broad client base. Due to increased client demand, our client will be increasing their engineering team in 2024 to ensure that project deliverables are met as a part of this, they have a new unique opportunity available for a Control Systems Engineer who has sound IT networking capabilities. The successful candidate will also have flexibility to work from home, in our clients office and on site when SAT and commissioning takes place.
The Position
As a Control Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Functional design of Control Systems across a range of projects and industries
- Developing new PLC, SCADA and HMI systems as well as maintaining current ones for client sites
- Ensure that real-time data is available and that control mechanisms are operating effectively and efficiently for use by system operations and network development
- Integrating systems into clients IT network infrastructure
- Responsible for configuration, acceptance testing, commissioning etc in the field
- Work closely with new and existing clients to understand their requirements and develop solutions to fit their needs
- From time to time, you may be required to carry out Project Management tasks including time and budget/financial management
- Stakeholder engagement
Your Experience
To be considered for these positions, you will possess:
- High level competence with SCADA and PLC technologies
- Full project lifecycle capabilities
- IT networking capabilities
- Solid experience of maintaining and troubleshooting systems
- The ability to collaborate with personnel at all levels
- A degree or diploma in Computer Sciences, Computing, Electronics, Electrical engineering or similar
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
