Clarence Legal Services, the legal support arm of Clarence Professional Offices and an incorporated legal practice, provides legal support to Clarence’s community of lawyers.
Our team currently consists of a conveyancing division, wills & estates/probate division and generalist legal services/paralegal division.
The Position
We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Conveyancer/conveyancing paralegal to join our conveyancing division on a full-time basis, however part time and remote working will be considered for the right candidate.
Remuneration will be commensurate with the candidate’s level of experience.
About the Role
You will report to our Head of Legal Services and will be responsible for assisting with all manner of end-to-end conveyancing projects and PEXA registrations.
Although not essential, conveyancing experience in NSW and VIC will be looked upon favourably.
The role is quite unique, as you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of lawyers from different law firms who are all members of Clarence legal community.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with all aspects of a conveyance, from pre-contract review and negotiations to post settlement, including use of the PEXA platform.
- Reviewing and advising clients on proposed purchase contracts.
- Managing residential (including off the plan) and commercial conveyancing transactions autonomously, with the supervision of the Head of Legal Services.
- Liaising with clients, banks, real estate agents, solicitors and other third parties at every stage of the transaction to prepare all required correspondence and legal documents.
- Utilising strong organisational skills to manage high volumes of work and meet deadlines.
- Other general tasks as required (including other PEXA transactions such as Transfers pursuant to court orders, Caveats, Leases etc).
The successful candidate will:
- Have a minimum of 2 years conveyancing experience.
- Be able to complete a conveyance from the beginning to the end.
- Be proficient in Smokeball, PEXA and Microsoft Word.
- Have a positive and professional attitude, exhibit attention to detail, have excellent written and oral communication skills and possess a strong and self-motivated work-ethic.
