The service caters for up to 75 children and take great pride in our diverse menu prepared each day on site with our equipped commercial kitchen. This service is an integral part of the Catholic community.
We are a 75-place long day care, catering for children 6 weeks to 5 years.
If you joined our team, you would be working alongside a dedicated, fun and diverse group of individuals who take pride in our centre and the care we provide our families and children.
Part-time hours, Monday to Friday, 7am to 1pm.
Remuneration: as per the Children’s Services Modern Award 2010. Casual rates of Level 1 or Level 3 as a Support Service role. $30.17 - $34.36 per hour (depending on qualifications and experience)
The role
- Assist in ordering of all weekly food within the budgetary allocation and ensure accounts are forwarded promptly to the Nominated Supervisor and admin officer for payment.
- Assist educators at meal times when required.
- Assist in catering for special events.
- Ensure timely and accurate record keeping e.g. Temps of food, fridges etc.
- Participating as a member of a team by maintaining positive work relationships.
- Adhering to and promoting all Regulations, policies and Positions.
- Food preparation and cooking experience (preferably in child care)
- Food handling Certificate (or willing to obtain)
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willing to obtain)
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card) (or willing to obtain)
- Be motivated to provide quality nutrition and care to children and families
