The service caters for up to 54 children and take great pride in our diverse menu prepared each day on site with our equipped commercial kitchen.
This service is an integral part of the catholic community.
Additional shifts available at our Hamilton centre
Hours: 18-30 hours per week
Remuneration: $24.13 to $27.49 per hour (negotiable), as per the Children’s Services Modern Award 2010. Level 1 to Level 3 as a Support Service role.
The role
- Preparing and cooking healthy nutritional meals for children
- Understanding & knowledge of dietary requirement
- Preparing, displaying, and reviewing centre menus in line with Nutrition Australia Guidelines
- Serving & assisting children during mealtimes
- Practising safe and compliant food hygiene practices
- Stock management and ordering supplies within allocated budget.
- Food preparation and cooking experience (preferably in childcare)
- Food handling Certificate (or willing to obtain)
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willing to obtain)
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card) (or willing to obtain)
- Be motivated to provide quality nutrition and care to children and families.
