Cook/ Chef Needed for Retirement Living Village.
We are seeking an experienced cook/ Chef to join our team In Keilor 3072 in a Retirement Village Setting.
This is a hands-on position requiring you to cook home-style comfort food in a fast paced kitchen for our valued elderly residents.
We are able to provide you with a great work/life balance with straight day shifts from 8.10am to 5.10pm Monday to Wednesday
Thursday. 9am til 6.30pm
Overall Purpose of the Position
· To efficiently manage the kitchen, maintaining consistently high standards of service and exceeding customer expectations at all times
Position Responsibilities
· To be responsible for the day to day operation of the kitchen, including overseeing and preparing all meals with a key focus on consistency and quality
· To adhere to all special dietary requirements including vegetarian, allergies/intolerances.
· To perform all food handling tasks in accordance with the procedures outlined in the Food Safety Program
· To manage and supervise catering staff and ensure they perform their tasks in accordance with the our Food Hygiene Standard and Food Safety Program
· To ensure that all Food Safety Program monitoring records are accurately completed, maintained and current
· To assist with all food purchases, stock ordering and stocktakes
Roster
· Part Time 4 days per week ( Monday to Thursday)
Essential Criteria
· Previous experience in a similar kitchen management role is suitable
· Excellent written and verbal communication ability
· Strong organisational and planning skills
· High level attention to detail
· Effective time management and prioritisation skills
· Current National Police Check (less than 3 years old)
