ABOUT THE ROLE
Mainfreight Epping is looking for a full-time Cook in a busy team canteen. We are looking for a passionate person who shows initiative, enthusiasm, enjoys food and working within a great team. Like a family we eat together at mealtimes with the canteen delivering in-house, well-balanced home cooked meals for lunch and dinner. We are looking for someone who thrives on putting a smile on people’s faces and building relationships when serving team members.
Our motto is ‘Special People, Special Company’, we are looking for the special team member to bring a touch of brilliance to our workplace.
Duties and responsibilities include and are not limited to:
- Qualified Cook
- Food preparation
- Breakfast and Lunch service
- Functions and catering
- Ensure the kitchen & food storage areas are maintained to our high cleanliness standards
To be successful, the applicant will need to possess the following skills:
- A passion for creating healthy & well-balanced meals
- Experience with preparing and plating up meals
- Excellent time management
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Be resourceful and flexible
- The ability to make people happy from your fun and friendly personality and great food
You will be working in a professional kitchen with the following equipment: a Bratt pan, combi oven, professional grated/flat plate griller, industrial dishwasher, Stainless steel kitchen sinks/shelving, walk in dry store, cool room, freezers, countertop heated Bain Marie and many more appliances.
